EventDiagram/Example floor plans/Corporate event layouts/Opening Session — Sovereign Ballroom
Opening Session — Sovereign Ballroom
1,020 theater with both aisles running down the column lines — no seat looks past steel.
The Carrick Hotel & Convention Center · Sovereign Ballroom · 168′ × 99′, 24′ ceiling

Why it is laid out this way
- Both 10′ longitudinal aisles sit on the column lines at 42′ and 126′, so the four columns stand in circulation instead of in somebody's sightline.
- The stage is in the room's 60′ bay, which puts row one 12′ off the deck rather than the 30′ a floor-built stage would cost.
- Accessible spaces are on the 10′ cross aisle, where the route to the side doors is shortest.
