Prismm & AllSeated migration hub · updated September 8, 2026

Prismm is shutting down. Don’t rebuild inside an annual contract.

Cvent is sunsetting Prismm — no new events since August 26, 2026, access ending June 2027 — and moving accounts into Cvent Event Diagramming. Your templates, favorites, and pre-2022 events don’t make the trip. Before you rebuild everything in a 12-month commitment, export your work and see the independent option on one real event.

Happening now

May 13 – Aug 26, 2026

Prismm users were redirected to activate a Cvent Event Diagramming account, and could still create events in both products.

No new events

Aug 26, 2026

The last cutover to creating events in Cvent Event Diagramming only. Your existing Prismm events stay editable until the sunset.

Access ends

June 2027

Prismm access ends, per Cvent’s migration resources page. Your work stays view-only inside Cvent; anything not exported before then is stuck there.

Dates from Cvent’s published migration resources page, checked September 16, 2026. Cvent has extended this runway once; earlier guides quoting an October 1 cutoff are out of date, and no Cvent page names a December 31 shutdown.

to have your floor plans rebuilt to scale — the offer

Dates from Cvent’s official Prismm transition materials, August 2026. Your own account’s cutoff for new events may already have passed — log in and try to create a test event.

Before June 2027

Export these seven things — whether or not you leave Cvent

The official migration into Cvent Event Diagramming does not carry everything. Per Cvent’s own transition FAQ, templates are not preserved as reusable layouts, favorites and object groups don’t move, and pre-2022 events are not available at all. This is the list to work through this week, not in the last month before the sunset.

Floor plans for every space you use. The highest-quality PDF or image available, with dimensions visible where the plan supports it. These are the seeds of whatever you rebuild in.

Your templates and standard setups. The big one, because it is exactly what the migration drops. Each template as a PDF at minimum; if a setup exists only inside an old event, open that event and export it too.

Every pre-2022 event you might ever reference. Annual galas, recurring conferences, the layout a client loved three years ago — these don’t come across in any form.

Guest lists and seating charts. As spreadsheets wherever the option exists, not images. A CSV re-imports; a PNG doesn’t.

Capacity charts and room rules. Per-setup capacities, ceiling heights, notes on your spaces — screenshot if you have to. Operational knowledge is the hardest thing to recreate from memory.

Vendor and collaborator lists. Who has access to which events. You’ll be re-inviting them somewhere new, and a caterer who loses their markup history without warning does not forget it.

Anything 3D you paid for. If your venue commissioned 3D modeling inside Prismm, ask Cvent support in writing what happens to those assets and what formats you can take with you.

Got item 1 exported? Send it to us.

One floor plan, converted free into a to-scale diagram you can actually edit — so you know what your library is worth somewhere else before you finish the other six.

No credit card, no sales call. You keep the diagram either way.

The long version, with the reasoning behind each item: the Prismm shutdown export checklist. The full picture of what survives the migration and the options you actually have: Prismm sunset — what survives. And if you still think of it as AllSeated, what happened to AllSeated has the complete timeline.

Read the fine print

What the Cvent migration leaves behind

Your Prismm templates are not automatically carried over as reusable Cvent layouts

Your private object collections move, but not immediately — Cvent says you’ll be notified when yours is available

Events created before January 1, 2022 are not available in the new environment

Cvent Event Diagramming’s paid public plans require a 12-month commitment

None of this is hidden — it’s in Cvent’s own migration FAQ. The point is simply that you are already paying the switching cost. The only question is what you rebuild into: an enterprise suite with an annual commitment, or an independent tool with monthly billing and open exports.

Where you land after migration depends on what you run: wedding planners rebuild their template library once and reuse it everywhere, while hotels & event venues get their main event spaces redrawn to scale by us — up to five, by the size of the property.

FAQ

Prismm migration — common questions

What exactly is happening to Prismm?

Cvent acquired Prismm (formerly AllSeated) in April 2025 and is consolidating it into Cvent Event Diagramming. Per Cvent’s own migration resources page, checked September 16, 2026: the last cutover to creating events in Cvent Event Diagramming only was August 26, 2026, and existing Prismm events stay editable until access ends in June 2027, after which your work is view-only inside Cvent. Cvent extended that runway; earlier guides quoting an October 1 cutoff or a December 31 shutdown are out of date.

Do I have to move to Cvent Event Diagramming?

No. Cvent’s path moves your account into their diagramming product, but your floor plans and layouts are yours — you can export them and rebuild anywhere. That’s the decision window you’re in right now, and it’s worth making deliberately rather than by default.

What should I export before the sunset?

Everything, even if you plan to stay with Cvent: floor plans and room dimensions for every space; your saved templates and standard setups (as PDFs at minimum); guest lists and seating charts you may need again; and any pre-2022 event you might ever reference, since those don’t come across at all.

How does moving to EventDiagram work?

Send us your Prismm exports — PDFs are fine. We convert your standard room setups into editable, to-scale layouts (concierge conversion included with venue onboarding), you run a real event in parallel during a 60-day trial window, and you stay on monthly billing with a written export guarantee. If you have an overlapping contract, ask about transition credit of up to three months.

I knew it as AllSeated — is that the same shutdown?

Yes. AllSeated was renamed Prismm on January 22, 2024, and Cvent acquired Prismm on April 24, 2025. Same product, same account, same sunset: no new events since August 26, 2026, access ending June 2027. Everything on this page applies to an AllSeated account.

Is EventDiagram just Prismm again?

No — and honestly, Prismm’s photorealistic 3D was its signature, and Cvent inherits that strength. EventDiagram’s center of gravity is the operational plan: to-scale 2D that ops can execute, one-click 3D walkthroughs from the same data, airwall-aware ballrooms, and collaboration where nobody needs a paid seat.

Knew it as AllSeated? Same product, same sunset — see the AllSeated alternative page. Comparing against Social Tables itself? See the Social Tables alternative.
