What happened to AllSeated? Prismm, Cvent and the shutdown

AllSeated didn’t simply disappear — it rebranded, was acquired, and is now being phased out. The company renamed itself Prismm in January 2024. Fifteen months later, on April 24, 2025, Cvent (which already owned competitor Social Tables) acquired Prismm. Cvent is now shutting down the Prismm platform entirely to consolidate users into Cvent Event Diagramming, the product most planners still call Social Tables.

I’m Daniel Pitner, Director of Sales at EventDiagram. With over 12 years in the event industry, I’m sharing this factual timeline so planners, venues, and caterers know exactly how to protect their hard work before the final 2026 cutoff. Dates are from Prismm’s and Cvent’s own announcements and Cvent’s transition page, checked September 7, 2026.

The Prismm / AllSeated shutdown timeline

If you have an old AllSeated bookmark, it is now a Prismm login, and these deadlines apply directly to your account.

The practical deadline is earlier than any of those dates: it is whenever your next event lands that you can no longer plan inside Prismm. Log in and try to create a test event — that is the only way to know which phase your account is in. The account-by-account detail is in what survives the Cvent migration.

What migrates to Cvent Event Diagramming (and what gets lost)

While active accounts are automatically migrating to Cvent Event Diagramming, the transfer is not lossless. Here is exactly what you need to back up immediately:

Work through the full Prismm export checklist well before the June 2027 sunset, whichever tool you land in afterward. The templates row is the one that costs people the most: the PDF of a room comes across fine as a picture, but the reusable version of that room has to be rebuilt by hand.

Stay with Cvent Event Diagramming

This is the path of least friction if your venue already relies heavily on the Cvent ecosystem for registration or sourcing. Be prepared for 12-month contract commitments and specific tier limits — I’ve laid out what Cvent Event Diagramming actually costs per event and per editor.

Move to an independent tool

If you are tired of event tech consolidation cycles, now is the time to switch. Because you have to rebuild your templates anyway, build them where you intend to stay.
