Why it is laid out this way
- The deck sits in the 30′ strip north of the column grid, so not one of the nine columns stands between the crowd and the stage.
- A 7′ pit between deck and barricade — enough for a photographer, a medic and a crew member to pass each other, which 4′ is not.
- A 20′ egress lane is held clear to every one of the six south door pairs; the four dock doors stay production-only all night.
