Training/Venues & event spaces
How do I set up my venue and its event spaces?
Add the building once, then its event spaces with real dimensions and airwall sections. Every combination derives from there, so you never maintain a plan per combination.

Add the building once, then its event spaces with real dimensions and airwall sections. Everything downstream — capacities, combinations, floor plans — derives from that.
Get the dimensions right once and you never revisit them. Get them wrong and every plan built on top inherits the error.
Adding the venue
- Open
Venues, enter the building's name and city, and pressAdd venue. - Have floor plans or a capacity chart? Send them through
Venue setupand we convert up to five event spaces for you — free, with airwall sections and the real room outline. What to send, what makes it accurate and the other ways in are in How do I get my venue's floor plans into EventDiagram?
Adding event spaces
- Use
Add spaceon the venue. - Enter real width, depth and ceiling height — ceiling matters for rigging and for the 3D view.
- If it is divisible, add the airwall sections along the axis they split.
- Mark back-of-house areas as not bookable so they are never metered and never reach a public capacity chart.
What you get for it
My venue becomes a front door to every space and every derived combination, each ready to lay out. A property with three event spaces, one of them divisible into four, yields a dozen usable floor plans without drawing any of them twice.
