Help · Getting started
Create your first event & diagram
From a blank workspace to a seated, to-scale floor plan. Ten minutes, no manual required — this guide is mostly telling you it's simpler than you expect.
1 · Start with the event, not the diagram
In EventDiagram, every diagram lives inside an event — the folder that holds the dates, the documents, the contacts, and every layout for that gala or conference. Click New diagram anywhere and you'll be asked which event it belongs to, or you can create the event right there in the same dialog. Nothing ever floats loose.
2 · Give the diagram a room
Pick a venue space from your library or the public directory (it comes in with real dimensions and airwall sections), or just set a width and depth for a blank canvas. Everything in EventDiagram is real feet and inches — a 60″ round is five feet across on your screen and on the floor.
3 · Place items — or tell the copilot what you want
The left palette holds the library: tables, chairs, staging, bars, décor. Click an item, click the canvas; chairs auto-array around tables and the seat count updates live. Or open the AI copilot and type what you want — “rounds of 10 for 120 with a 20-foot dance floor” — review its draft, and accept or adjust. Snap and grid keep everything aligned; the tally panel tracks seats, items, and square footage as you go.
4 · Set the status, export, move on
Every diagram carries a workflow status — draft, in review, approved, and so on — so the event page tells you where everything stands at a glance. Export PNG or the PDF export (with a proper title block) gets it to anyone who needs paper; the 3D button shows the same plan as a walkable room.
