0:03A plan can look beautiful and still be wrong. Diagram Check is the pass that catches it before anybody else does.

0:11It's the last icon on the rail.

0:14First it tells you where you stand: how many seats you've placed, in how many square feet.

0:19Then you set the standards it should hold you to. The minimum aisle you want between tables.

0:24The minimum square feet per seat — the number that decides whether a room feels generous or packed.

0:30And a maximum capacity, if the room has a fire-code number you must not exceed.

0:35Then run it. It checks the layout against every one of those, including anything that's drifted outside the walls of the room.

0:42This layout passes, which is the answer you want. But let's make it fail on purpose, so you can see what a finding actually looks like.

0:49I'll demand an unreasonable amount of aisle between tables — twelve feet — and run it again.

0:55There it is. And the finding is clickable — click it, and it selects exactly the offending items on the canvas, so you're not hunting for which two tables are too close.

1:04Set your standards once and every diagram gets held to them. Next, the same plan in three dimensions.
