About this data

This page is part of the EventDiagram venue registry — floor-plan data published for event planners, vendors, and the venue itself. This record was compiled from the venue's public materials and has not yet been claimed by the venue. Room geometry is traced from the venue's own drawings to the room's actual perimeter — vestibules, alcoves, and door bays included — and the scale references we checked are listed on each space below. Software assists the tracing; a person reviews every plan against its source before it appears here. Capacity figures are only ever the venue's own published numbers — we never estimate them. • Motor House 'Technical Specifications Master Sheet' (5pp PDF, venue's own published tech pack) - supplied by a customer 2026-09-01

Scale verification

  • Primary: dimensions printed on the venue's own Technical Specifications Master Sheet - overall 48'-4 1/2" x 36'-5", top wall 3'-11 1/2" + 33'-6" + 8'-8 3/8", angled corner 8'-3", right wall 27'-6", ceiling 12'-0". These are drafted dimensions, not scaled measurements.
  • Independent check: the perimeter measured off the sheet's plan raster at 16.351 px/ft (calibrated on the printed 48'-4 1/2" overall width) reproduces the printed 33'-6" top-wall run as 33.88 ft (1.1%) and puts the foot of the angled corner at 10.2 ft against 10.27 ft derived from the printed strings (0.7%).
  • Closure: the printed 8'-3" chamfer resolves to 2'-2 5/8" across x 7'-11 3/8" down, which reconciles the printed 48'-4 1/2" width, 36'-5" left wall and 27'-6" right wall to within 11.6 in - the residual being the top-right step, which the sheet does not dimension.

Known limitations

  • The room is not a rectangle: the top-left corner is recessed about 1'-4" for the first 3'-11 1/2", and the top-right corner is clipped by an 8'-3" angled wall (2'-2 5/8" across by 7'-11 3/8" down). Both are captured in the outline.
  • The two small corner offsets - the top-left notch and the top-right step into the door alcove - are not dimensioned on the venue's sheet. They were scaled from its plan drawing and are accurate to roughly +/- 6 inches. Ask the venue if you need them exact.
  • The plan drawing on the venue's sheet is a raster that is not uniformly scaled: measured against its own printed dimensions it reproduces horizontal runs to about 1% but is roughly 5% short vertically. The printed dimension strings were therefore used for all geometry, and the drawing only to locate doors along the walls (with the vertical scale corrected).
  • Ceiling is published as 12'-0". The sheet also marks 9'-5 5/8", which is the lower clear height under the grid - confirm which applies where before hanging anything.
  • All four openings read as double doors roughly 5 1/2 ft wide, measured from the venue's plan drawing. Hinge sides are not captured; the left-wall pair is drawn swinging out of the room.
  • The red lines on the venue's plan are the overhead lighting/pipe grid, not floor divisions. The Black Box is a single undivided room - it has no airwalls and no sub-sections.
  • No columns are drawn inside the room; clear span is unconfirmed by the venue.
  • The venue publishes '200 standing, 100 seated'. 'Standing' is recorded here as reception. The seated figure is published without a setup style, so it is deliberately not recorded against a specific column - confirm with the venue whether it means banquet rounds or theatre rows. House inventory includes 143 theatre chairs.
